Free To Celebrate

Let’s add a little S.A.L.T. (Studying And Learning Together) to our Sunday school lesson through Involvement Learning. This Sunday’s lesson is titled: “Free To Celebrate.” The background scripture is taken from Ezra 6:13-22 and Leviticus 23:4-8. The lesson text is from Ezra 6:13-22.

The special seasonings for this lesson are three Involvement Learning Activities.

Our Adult Sunday School lesson is centered around the Israelites preparation to celebrate the dedication of the house of God and Passover. And one of our Involvement Learning Activity is for you to create a new holiday for our country to recognize. Instructions are below:

Activity One:

Create a new holiday for the country to recognize.  It can be serious and honor a significant person or moment, or it can be silly and highlight something you think is special.

  1. On what date will it fall?
  2. How it will be celebrated?
  3. What traditions will this holiday introduce?

Activity Two:

The second Involvement Activity is to complete the following Compare and Contrast Activity below:

Activity Three:
